All flights suspended at Iranian airports until further notice

The Iranian Airports and Air Navigation Company’s Public Relations Department has announced a nationwide suspension of all flights at airports across Iran until further notice. 

This decision follows an aviation directive issued by the Civil Aviation Organization aimed at ensuring passenger safety, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.

Authorities have urged citizens to avoid travelling to airports during this period and to stay updated through official media channels for further information.

On June 13, Reuters reported that escalating conflict in the Middle East has negatively impacted airline stocks worldwide. Shares of British Airways’ parent company IAG dropped 4.6 per cent, Delta Air Lines fell 4 per cent, and Ryanair declined by 3.5 per cent. The surge in oil prices following recent attacks has also raised concerns about rising jet fuel costs.

According to Safe Airspace, a website operated by OPSGROUP, air traffic is now being rerouted either south through Egypt and Saudi Arabia or north via Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan.
