Almost 90% of French citizens deem Macron’s presidency failure, survey says
A striking majority of French citizens consider Emmanuel Macron’s two presidential terms a failure and are opposed to his continued involvement in the nation’s political life after his mandate ends in 2027.
This assessment stems from a public opinion poll conducted by Odoxa, which surveyed 1,000 adult French citizens on November 5–6, Caliber.Az reports, citing French media.
The survey revealed that 89% of respondents viewed Macron’s policies as a “failure,” including 77% of those who had supported him in the 2017 or 2022 elections. The areas where his decisions were perceived as most harmful included purchasing power (88%), pensions (86%), immigration (85%), and the labor market (73%).
Furthermore, 86% of those surveyed believe that Macron is unlikely to leave a meaningful political legacy, asserting that his “school of thought” will fade with the conclusion of his presidential mandate, the poll reports.
