ANAMA clears 308.7 hectares of mines, unexploded ordnance
Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) has released its weekly report detailing demining operations carried out during May 13-19 in the liberated territories. According to the report, ANAMA successfully located and neutralized a significant amount of hazardous ordnance in several regions.
In total, 24 anti-personnel mines, 11 anti-tank mines, and 16 pieces of unexploded ordnance were discovered and safely removed. The operations took place across multiple areas including Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankandi, Kalbajar, Gubadli, Khojavand, Jabrayil, and Zangilan, Caliber.Az reports.
Throughout the week, ANAMA cleared a total of 308.7 hectares of land from these dangerous remnants of conflict, making the regions safer for resettlement and agricultural use. The agency's ongoing efforts are crucial for ensuring the safety and rehabilitation of these liberated territories.
