ANAMA clears hundreds of hectares of mines, unexploded ordnance

The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has released its weekly report on demining operations carried out in territories liberated from occupation.

Between February 9 and 15, operations conducted in the Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh, and Zangilan districts, as well as in the city of Khankendi, resulted in the discovery and neutralisation of 53 anti-personnel mines, 7 anti-tank mines, and 130 items of unexploded ordnance, Caliber.Az reports.

A total of 385 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded munitions during the reporting period.
