ANAMA: Over 1,500 hectares demined in Azerbaijan over past week

The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has released its weekly report on demining operations carried out in territories liberated from occupation, stating that a total of 1,593.1 hectares have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.

Between April 20 and April 26, operations were conducted in the Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh, and Zangilan districts, as well as in the city of Khankendi, Caliber.Az reports via ANAMA.

During the reporting period, demining teams discovered and neutralised 39 anti-personnel mines, 23 anti-tank mines, and 621 unexploded ordnance items.
