Anglo Asian Mining Company appeals to international organisations For gaining access to Qizilbulag, Demirli deposits
UK’s Anglo Asian Mining Plc. has sent a letter to senior representatives of a number of international organisations and governments, including the UN, the US Department of State, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the European Union, regarding its mining rights in deposits which are being used by others.
The appeal contains a request to render support in restoring the legal rights of the company to conduct business and in ensuring the safe access of employees to the Qizilbulag, Demirli fields and adjacent areas in Karabakh, Report informs.
Anglo Asian Mining Plc. sent similar letters to each of these organisations in 2006 confirming its ownership.
Besides the main assets, Anglo Asian Mining Plc. has legal rights also to two contract areas in Karabakh, namely, the Qizilbulag copper-gold deposit and the Demirli copper-molybdenum deposit.
Anglo Asian Mining Plc. added that these contract areas are in the zone which is temporarily monitored by Russian peacekeepers, but Armenian companies continue illegal activity in these areas.
