Anti-personnel mine injures man in Azerbaijan's Aghdara

A man was injured after stepping on an anti-personnel mine in Azerbaijan’s Aghdara district, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) said.

The incident occurred on September 10 in Papravand village, an area liberated from occupation.

ANAMA told Caliber.Az that Sarkhan Bakhtiyar oglu Rustamzade, a resident of the Tartar district born in 2005, was travelling on horseback through an uncleared area when he stepped on the mine.

Rustamzade sustained a minor injury and was evacuated from the hazardous area by ANAMA personnel.

The Tartar District Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident.
