Armenia expects arrests amid dismissal of justice official

Armenia is expecting arrests amid the dismissal of Armenian Justice Ministry’s Criminal Executive Service Head Sergey Atomyan.

"In the penitentiary system, which was under Atomyan's subordination, employees made deals with prisoners, and he either did not own the situation or was a party to the deals," Caliber.Az reports, citing the Zhokhovurd newspaper.

According to the publication, law enforcement agencies have already exposed such cases.

It is noted that Atomyan was dismissed from his post on August 5 by the decision of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
