Armenia increases defence allocations

The Ministry of Defence of Armenia will receive additional allocations in the amount of 11 billion drams (about $28 million).

A relevant resolution was adopted on December 22 at a meeting of the Armenian government, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.

Funds will be issued under the item "Other expenses" in the "Satisfaction of military needs" section.

The defence budget of Armenia for 2022 was settled at 375 billion drams (about $945 million) and was replenished several times during the year.

For 2023, it is set at 506 billion drams (about $1,28 billion), or 35% higher than the previously confirmed amount for 2022.
