Armenia's foreign debt reaches unthinkable level

External debt in the Eurasian Economic Union as of October 1, 2023, decreased by $119.7 billion, or 18 per cent.
Caliber.Az reports that according to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), in comparison with the same date in 2022, the gross external debt decreased in Belarus (by 11.7 per cent) and Russia (by 26.8 per cent).
Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan saw their debt rise (up 9.5 per cent, 0.8 per cent and 8.2 per cent respectively).
Earlier, Armenian media reported that Armenia's public debt at the end of July 2023 amounted to around 11 billion 352 million dollars.
