Armenian analyst confirms Caliber.Az information Secret talks in Brussels
"There is a visible and invisible part of this meeting. We, of course, have it officially denied by the Foreign Ministry, if I'm not mistaken, Ani Badalyan said it was absurd, and only economic issues were discussed. However, the meeting also had a closed part."
Caliber.Az reports that analyst Armen Chibukhchyan said this in a conversation with Armenian media, commenting on the meeting in Brussels and [Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman] Maria Zakharova's statements on the issue yesterday.
"We also saw that there was no press conference after the meeting, after which, I don't know if you are aware of it or not, that 10m euros were allocated from the European Peace Fund for the establishment of field hospitals and so on (according to the document, the aid will fund the establishment of a mobile field camp for a battalion-sized unit, including a medical facility, as well as relevant services and facilities – ed.).
“This is military indirect aid. That is, not offensive, but defensive military aid, which fits into the logic of aid. Do you understand what is happening? The European Peace Fund for Armenia starts working from the simplest. Moreover, the same thing happens in the logic of military aid, when Armenia starts with the simplest things. Let's say, with Bastion armored vehicles, which by and large cannot change the situation on the battlefield without serious armament.
"In other words, against this background, naturally, I assume, and in my personal opinion, there were some secret negotiations with Armenia. There was a secret conversation, which is not advertised because when the European Peace Foundation assists, it means that Pashinyan promised them something.
"I assume that Maria Zakharova's statement that Armenia should explain what was agreed upon in Brussels says that there was an agreement on the withdrawal of Russian troops from Armenia," the analyst said.
We should remind that Caliber.Az reported that the editorial board has obtained information on how exactly the US and EU will provide military and political support to Armenia. The Armenian analyst indirectly confirms the reliability of this information.
