Armenian ex-president blames Pashinyan, Kocharyan for disrupting political dialogue
The first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan believes that the dialogue mechanism between the government and opposition has been crushed by former President Robert Kocharyan and incumbent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media that this statement was published on social media by Ter-Petrosyan’s press secretary, Arman Musinyan.
According to Musinyan, many people got the impression after the first president’s reaction on October 3 that he is responsible for this breakdown of communications, which were in fact initially put into place by his administration.
However, he states that a three-hour-long press conference given by Robert Kocharyan and a two-hour-long interview by the Prime Minister are to blame for the disruption in the political dialogue between camps.
The press secretary continues by saying that Ter-Petrosyan came to the conclusion, that Kocharyan is attempting with all means to overthrow Prime Minister Pashinyan, who, so believes the first president, will be able to remain in office.
Musinyan writes that chances for political conversations have been burned under those conditions.
