At least six injured in Aleppo quake
At least six people have been injured in the earthquake in Aleppo, located in the north of the country.
According to doctors, six people injured in the building collapse were taken to the city hospital, SANA reports.
The head of the Aleppo Health Department, Ziyad al-Hajj Taha, pointed out that "the residents taken to the hospital have no serious injuries".
Some time ago it was reported that as a result of tremors in several quarters of Aleppo, the collapse of buildings was noted.
Earlier on February 20, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency reported two earthquakes of magnitude 6.4 and 5.8 that occurred 17 minutes apart in the southeast of the country. According to Haberturk TV channel, there are destroyed houses in the Defne district of Hatay province. Tremors were also felt in Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, Lebanon, and Syria.
