Austria vows support for Türkiye, Syria to deal with quake aftermath

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer has said that Vienna will provide financial aid to Türkiye in the wake of the earthquake and send military personnel for search and rescue efforts.

"The horrifying images reaching us today from Türkiye and Syria after the earthquakes show serious destruction and a large number of victims... In these difficult times, we stand by the people of Türkiye and Syria... Austria will allocate 3 million euros... for local aid organisations and from tomorrow [February 7], more than 80 soldiers of the Austrian armed forces will support rescue operations in the quake-hit zone," Caliber.Az quotes the chancellor’s Twitter page.
