Azerbaijan appoints new co-chairs for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation with Russia
The co-chairs of the inter-parliamentary cooperation committees between Azerbaijan and Russia have been appointed.
First Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ali Ahmadov has been appointed co-chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and the Federal Assembly of Russia. Previously, this role was held by Ali Huseynli, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov has been appointed chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation with the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia.
Moreover, Gaya Mammadov has been appointed head of Azerbaijan's delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Mammadov succeeds Azay Guliyev, who previously led the delegation.
Samad Seyidov has been appointed new head of the European Union-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Cooperation Committee. He succeeds Javanshir Feyziyev, who previously held the position.
