Azerbaijan building new road in Karabakh PHOTO / VIDEO
Spokesman for the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads Anar Najafli has said that construction of the Aghdere – Aghdam road was launched in Azerbaijan.
"The total length of the road will be 33.5 kilometres, width - nine metres (with roadsides - 15 metres). The road will be two-lane," Najafli told Caliber.Az.
Excavation work is underway, the foundation of the road and drainage pipes are being laid, the terrain is being leveled.
According to the project, a five-span bridge will be built on the road over the Khachinchay River; its supports are now being installed.
The road is one of the projects being implemented in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions, which will play an important role in the socio-economic development of cities, districts and villages liberated from long Armenian occupation.
