Azerbaijan has explored cooperation with Chinese companies in the field of renewable energy as a delegation led by Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov, engaged in discussions from September 24-26 in Yangjiang and Beijing, focusing on collaboration in the green energy field.

The Azerbaijani delegation participated in the second meeting of the Working Group established between Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy and China Energy Engineering Corporation, Caliber.Az reports.

In addition, they held meetings with representatives from prominent Chinese companies, including Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co. Ltd, CEEC, TBEA Co. Ltd, and China Datang Corporation Ltd.

During the discussions, the Azerbaijani representatives highlighted the country's energy corridor initiatives, particularly the importance of the Caspian-Black Sea-European green energy corridor, which is aimed at exporting substantial quantities of renewable energy.

The meetings also explored various opportunities for cooperation, including renewable energy projects, energy storage systems, offshore wind energy development, and the supply of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power lines.

The delegation also included Elmir Musayev, Director of SOCAR Green, who emphasized the potential for Azerbaijan and China to work together in advancing their mutual interests in the renewable energy sector.
