Azerbaijan, UAE hold virtual talks to boost energy, industrial cooperation

Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan's Economy Minister, held a video conference alongside Rovshan Najaf, President of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic), with H.E. Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and CEO of ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company).

In a statement on X page following the meeting, Jabbarov highlighted the “successful cooperation” between ADNOC and SOCAR, particularly in the joint development of the Absheron gas and condensate field, Caliber.Az reports. 

“We highlighted the successful cooperation between ADNOC and SOCAR in the joint development of the Absheron gas and condensate field, as well as the green energy initiatives undertaken in partnership with Masdar,” Jabbarov said.

He added that the talks also focused on expanding bilateral collaboration beyond the energy sector.

“Our discussions also focused on expanding bilateral collaboration and knowledge exchange across industrial and other strategic sectors, as well as fostering stronger B2B engagement between the business communities of both countries,” the minister noted.
