Azerbaijan clears thousands of mines, unexploded ordnance in liberated lands

The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has reported significant progress in demining operations across territories recently liberated from occupation.

Between March 30 and April 5, ANAMA teams detected and neutralised 83 anti-personnel mines, 34 anti-tank mines, and 2,254 items of unexploded ordnance in multiple districts, including Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh, Zangilan, as well as in the city of Khankandi, Caliber.Az reports per the agency. 

During the same period, a total of 2,278.1 hectares of land were cleared of mines and explosive remnants, ANAMA said.
