Azerbaijan completes one-third of Fuzuli–Khojavand road construction VIDEO
Construction of the 19.2-kilometre Fuzuli–Khojavand highway is progressing, with approximately one-third of the project completed, according to Azerbaijan's State Agency for Motorways.
Anar Najafli, head of the agency's press service, said earthworks, the installation of drainage structures and the laying of drainage lines are currently underway, Caliber.Az reports.
He said that 33.5% of the overall construction work has been completed.
The Fuzuli–Khojavand road is one of several infrastructure projects being implemented in Azerbaijan's Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions. According to the agency, the road is expected to contribute to the socio-economic development of towns, districts and villages that returned to Azerbaijani control after years of Armenian occupation.
