Azerbaijan creating new quality of life in liberated lands, official says
Azerbaijan is creating a new quality of life in the territories liberated from occupation, according to Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture.
Speaking at a press conference marking the opening of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Guliyev said reconstruction efforts and the “Great Return” programme in the liberated territories have already attracted significant interest from international institutions and foreign partners, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
"We are not simply building houses and returning people to these territories. We are designing and creating a new quality of life there," he said.
Guliyev noted that around 90,000 people currently live, work, and study at universities in Karabakh and East Zangezur.
He also said that discussions on restoration and development have been held with representatives and partners from Syria, Ukraine, and several other countries.
