Azerbaijan defuses over 400 mines in liberated lands

A monthly report on the work carried out by the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) in the territories liberated from occupation on March 1-31, 2024 has been unveiled.

Some 299 anti-personnel mines, 114 anti-tank mines and 1,254 unexploded ordnance were revealed in Tartar, Aghdere, Aghdam, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Gubadli, Khojavend, Kalbajar, Khankendi, Khojaly, Jabrayil and Zangilan districts in March, ANAMA told Caliber.Az.

Around 6,094.6 hectares of territory have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.

Earlier, three anti-tank mines, 30 anti-personnel mines, and 201 unexploded ordnance were revealed and defused on March 18-24.

A total area spanning 462.1 hectares was successfully cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.
