Azerbaijan detects, neutralises over 320 unexploded munitions in Karabakh ANAMA WEEKLY REPORT /Photo
The Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) has released its weekly report on demining operations carried out in the liberated territories.
Between January 12 and 18, a total of 63 anti-personnel mines, 6 anti-tank mines, and 253 pieces of unexploded ordnance were detected and neutralised in the districts of Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavand, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, Gazakh, Zangilan, as well as in the city of Khankendi, ANAMA reports.
In total, an area of 508,7 hectares was cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.

Since the end of the Second Karabakh War, at least 417 people have been killed or injured by landmines and unexploded ordnance.
In a statement from its Public Council, ANAMA highlighted a rise in mine-related incidents in liberated territories, noting that two such incidents have already occurred in 2026.
The agency urged civilians, workers, and returning residents to avoid uncleared areas, heed warning signs, and follow safety guidelines, warning that handling unfamiliar objects can be life-threatening.
