Azerbaijan enhances preservation of architectural monuments in Karabakh PHOTO
In a dedicated effort to safeguard the rich cultural heritage of Karabakh, Azerbaijan has heightened its commitment to the preservation of architectural monuments in the region.
In this respect, the Expert Council on the Identification of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan has held a regular meeting.
Fariz Huseynli, head of the press service of the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, reported to Caliber.Az that Sabina Hajiyeva, head of the service, made an opening speech at the meeting and presented a list of 95 objects - candidates for inclusion in the list of immovable monuments of history, culture and architecture.
Head of the Expert Council, Professor, Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction Gulchohra Mammadova spoke in detail about these objects located both in Baku and in the territories liberated from years of Armenian occupation.
Opinions were exchanged and discussions took place.
It was decided to ensure full state protection of the tombs in Alimadatli, Boyahmadli, Gizil Kangarli and Eyvazkhanbayli villages of Aghdam district, the bridge in Kangarli village, mosques in Shahbulag, Abdal and Gulabli villages, as well as baths in Aghdam city and Gulabli village.
