Azerbaijan evaluates workforce potential in Karabakh PHOTO
The State Employment Agency under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has conducted another series of outreach meetings with residents in the Khojavand, Khojaly, and Jabrayil districts, as well as with employers operating in Zangilan, as part of ongoing efforts to support employment and economic development in the region.
The meetings focused on assessing employment prospects for local residents, identifying their professional skills, gauging their interest in entering the labour market, and evaluating their employment-related needs, Caliber.Az reports via state media.
Participants received detailed information on the agency’s active labour market initiatives, including job placement services, the self-employment program, vocational training courses, and other measures designed to enhance workforce participation.
During the outreach events, residents underwent initial registration procedures aimed at facilitating their placement in jobs that match their qualifications and interests. The registration process also enables individuals to participate in self-employment projects, vocational training programs, and other employment support initiatives implemented by the agency.
Separate discussions were held with employers, focusing on ongoing cooperation to promote employment opportunities in the territories liberated from occupation. Agency representatives outlined key areas of activity, active employment programs, and joint projects being carried out in partnership with the private sector.
Employers were also briefed on efforts to create additional jobs and implement targeted employment programs. Agency officials answered questions and exchanged views on measures aimed at strengthening the local labour market and supporting sustainable economic growth in the region.
