Azerbaijan exempts goods for Lachin airport construction from customs duty

The period of exemption from customs duty of goods imported for the construction of international airports in the Fuzuli, Lachin and Zangilan districts has been extended until 2025.
The relevant decree was signed by Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, Caliber.Az reports.
The customs privilege expired on January 1, 2024. The decree will come into force 30 days after publication.
So far, Azerbaijan has constructed Fuzuli and Zangilan airports and put into operation on the territories liberated from the Armenian occupation.
The construction of Lachin International Airport, the foundation of which was laid in 2021, is planned to be completed by 2025.
