Azerbaijan holds educational events for resettled families on mine safety PHOTO
The State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of Azerbaijan has organised a series of educational events for families resettling in the villages of Shushakand, Badara, Hasanriz, and Vangli.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about social protection measures and mine safety, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
During the events, participants viewed video presentations explaining social protection programs for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the conditions for ending the single monthly allowance provided to individuals who return to their permanent residences after a three-year period. The sessions also included information on the dangers of landmines and methods to minimise related risks.
The program is part of Azerbaijan’s broader efforts to support safe and sustainable resettlement of citizens returning to liberated territories.
