Azerbaijan: Home textile production facility launched in Khojaly
A home textile production facility has been launched in Khojaly, Azerbaijan, with an annual production capacity of 1.4 million units, according to Report.
The facility is operated by “Garabagh Textile House” LLC. Founder Rizvan Tahmazov said the plant has been equipped with machinery sourced from Türkiye and China.
At the initial stage, the enterprise will produce home textile goods, including bed linen, blankets, towels, and related items. Raw materials will be supplied from both the domestic market and imported from Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and China, with part of the output planned for export.
Tahmazov said 85 people are currently employed at the facility, most of whom are residents who have returned to the liberated territories and surrounding areas.
He added that 40 additional workers will undergo two-month vocational training supported by the State Employment Agency, while total employment is expected to reach 200 as production expands, including future garment manufacturing.
The project has attracted investment of 4.2 million manats, combining preferential loans and private funding. The enterprise benefits from state incentive programmes for residents of Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the facility in Khojaly on May 28.
