Azerbaijan hosts international conference on demining in Shusha

An international conference on demining has started in Azerbaijan’s Shusha city.

The event has been organised by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), Report informs.

During the event, participants will exchange experiences in the demining process, and discuss the promotion of gender inclusiveness through the creation of the first women's demining teams in Azerbaijan, as well as the potentially bigger involvement of NGOs in demining process.

This project is expected to strengthen and expand ANAMA's institutional capacity in strategy and data management.
