Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss healthcare issues

Azerbaijani Health Minister Teymur Musayev has welcomed Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel in the Azerbaijani Health Ministry. 

Musayev highlighted the historical and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan as the foundation for their bilateral relationship, the ministry told Caliber.Az.

The minister noted that the traditionally friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries have deep historical roots. The role of high-level reciprocal visits in expanding ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan was highlighted.

"The friendly relations between the presidents make an invaluable contribution to the development and strengthening of close cooperation between our countries in many areas," he noted.

Musayev highlighted the significant potential for developing relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the field of healthcare. 

The minister stressed that there are all the necessary conditions for exchanging modern methodological and scientific-practical information in professional development of medical specialists. There is also an interest in applying Kazakhstan's experience in the accreditation and quality control of medical institutions in Azerbaijan.

In conclusion, the Azerbaijani minister expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral cooperation.

In turn, Bayel emphasised the high level of bilateral relations and noted that there are historical, traditionally friendly relations between the two countries.

He also expressed interest in establishing effective cooperation with the Azerbaijani Health Ministry. 

The upcoming fourth meeting of the health ministers of the member states of the Organisation of Turkic States, to be held in Shusha this October, will strengthen the ties between the health ministries of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. The sides exchanged views on the training of qualified personnel in the healthcare sector and other issues of mutual interest.
