Azerbaijani Speaker highlights strong potential to boost ties with Serbia

The Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker, Sahiba Gafarova, has highlighted the existence of significant potential for the development of bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Serbia.

She made the relevant remarks during a joint briefing with Speaker of the Serbian National Assembly Ana Brnabić in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

According to Gafarova, the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia are important for promoting cooperation at the regional level between the South Caucasus and the Balkans.

“There is great potential for developing relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia in various areas. This visit [Brnabić’s visit to Baku — Ed.] demonstrates the high level of interaction between our countries and parliaments, as well as the desire to further strengthen ties. It is encouraging to see that these relations are moving toward the level of strategic partnership,” Gafarova added.
