Azerbaijan’s election chief to monitor Moldova’s parliamentary polls
An Azerbaijani delegation led by chair of Central Election Commission (CEC), Mazahir Panahov, is set to travel to Moldova to monitor the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28.
The visit is being conducted at the official invitation of Angelica Caraman, President of the Central Electoral Commission of Moldova, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The Azerbaijani CEC said that the visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and foster collaboration between the election management bodies of both countries. During the mission, Panahov is slated to engage in discussions with his Moldovan counterpart as well as other key officials involved in the electoral process.
In the days leading up to the vote, the delegation will review the overall election preparations to assess the readiness and integrity of the electoral framework. On election day, Azerbaijani observers will monitor voting procedures at various polling stations across Chisinau, ensuring transparency and adherence to international electoral standards.
