Azerbaijan, International skating union discuss first junior grand prix

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Kim Jae-youl, President of the International Skating Union (ISU), to discuss the upcoming Junior Grand Prix in figure skating and broader cooperation in winter sports.

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the significance of hosting the Junior Grand Prix in Azerbaijan for the first time, marking a milestone in the country’s growing engagement with international winter sports, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

Prime Minister Asadov emphasised that the development of sports is a key priority of Azerbaijan’s state policy and noted the government’s continued support for athletes.

The discussions also covered steps taken to promote winter sports in Azerbaijan and explored potential areas of future collaboration with the ISU.
