Azerbaijan launches construction of road to Asgaran PHOTO/VIDEO
Azerbaijan has kickstarted the construction of a road from Barda-Agdam highway to Asgaran city.
The announcement came from Anar Najafli, Spokesman for the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, in a conversation with Caliber.Az.
He said the total length of the road will be 18 kilometres and it will be multi-lane.
Excavation works are underway, road base is being laid, relief is being levelled, drainage pipes are being laid.
The road to Asgaran will make it possible to move quickly and conveniently from Barda towards Khankendi, Lachin and Shusha city (not entering Aghdam city, but bypassing it).
It is one of the projects being implemented in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions, which will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the towns, districts and villages liberated from years of Armenian occupation.
