Azerbaijan: NomadMania travellers visit Lachin amid reconstruction efforts PHOTO
A group of 79 international travellers from 37 countries, led by Harry Mitsidis, founder of the NomadMania travel club, visited the city of Lachin in East Zangezur as part of a two-day cultural and educational tour of Karabakh. This marks the largest delegation to the region since NomadMania began organising such trips.
During their visit, the travellers toured the Yurd Gallery and the Gilabi Ceramics centre, where they were introduced to traditional crafts and locally produced items. In addition, the delegation took part in a city sightseeing tour and learned about ongoing reconstruction projects and local infrastructure developments, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Prior to visiting Lachin, the group had explored Shusha, gaining insight into the cultural heritage and post-conflict rebuilding efforts in the region.
