Azerbaijan plans full restoration of polling stations in liberated territories, says official
Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC), Mazahir Panahov, announced the potential for the full restoration of polling stations in the country’s liberated territories.
Speaking at a CEC meeting on May 30, Panahov emphasized the importance of ensuring seamless voter registration for citizens returning to Karabakh and surrounding areas, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
"The process of registering individuals relocating to the liberated territories must be closely monitored to avoid dual listings in multiple locations," Panahov stated. "Because we have the capacity to fully restore polling stations in these areas."
The CEC head underlined that effective voter registration is essential to upholding electoral integrity and ensuring that the democratic process is fully operational in regions affected by past conflict.
