Azerbaijan plans relocation of over 1,300 residents to Horovlu village, Jabrayil
Vahid Hajiyev, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts has said that the country plans to relocate 1,395 people to the village of Horovlu, Jabrayil district.
Vahid Hajiyev briefed President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva about the works done in the village, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The Horovlu village is projected to encompass a total area of 248 hectares, with plans for it to eventually accommodate 3,470 residents across 867 families. As part of the first phase of this resettlement plan, the construction of 334 individual houses for the initial group of 1,395 residents has been completed. Currently, work is ongoing on both the exterior and interior finishing of these homes.
This project reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to addressing housing needs and supporting those affected by recent conflicts in the region. The government aims to create a sustainable and welcoming environment for the new residents of Horovlu, facilitating their reintegration into the community.
