Azerbaijan prevents drug smuggling from Iran PHOTO

Border guards of the Goytepe and Lankaran border troops of the Azerbaijani State Border Service have prevented the smuggling of 26 kilogrammes 945 grammes of drugs from the Islamic Republic of Iran into the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Thus, border guards revealed and seized 17 kilogrammes 900 grammes of drugs near Edishe village of Jalilabad district, while nine kilogrammes 45 grammes of marijuana near Sim village of Astara district on December 4 at 19:15 (GMT+4), APA reports citing the Azerbaijani State Border Service.

The investigation is underway.
