Azerbaijan relocates 25 more families to restored Zabukh village Great Return in full swing

A group of former IDPs has been sent to Zabukh village of Lachin district.

Caliber.Az reports that today another migration convoy left for Zabukh village from Gobu Park 3 residential complex in the Garadagh district of Baku city. At this stage, 25 more families - 103 people - are being relocated to Lachin city.

As of today, 71 families or 291 persons will be permanently resettled in Zabukh village.

Today is our happiest day, Saadet Guliyeva, a resident of Zabukh village, Lachin District, told reporters before her departure.

According to her, Zabukh residents are very happy to go to their native land.

"My son and his family will return to Lachin shortly. I wish that other former migrants also experience this feeling. I left Zabukh with two small children at the age of 28. Now I have three children and all of them will return to their native village," she added.

The main objective of the First State Program of the Great Return to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, approved by the head of state in November 2022, is to accelerate the creation of public utilities and social infrastructure, construction of housing, development of production and creation of new jobs for the rapid return of the citizens of the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic regions.
