Seventeen individual residential houses have been restored in the first phase of reconstruction works in the village of Boyuk Galaderesi in Azerbaijan’s Shusha district.

According to Report, the chief adviser of the Special Representation of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, Ismayil Ismayilov, said that the village was occupied in 1992 and was liberated in 2023 during the Azerbaijani Armed Forces’ counter-terrorism operation.

He noted that reconstruction and infrastructure development works are currently underway to create conditions for residents to return.

Electricity, gas, water supply, and communications networks have been restored in the settlement, while internal village roads have been improved. A park and a Flag Square have also been established.

In total, the village has 50 houses, of which 13 are uninhabitable, and 37 are partially suitable for living. Seventeen houses have been restored in the first phase, with another 20 planned for future restoration.

At present, 14 families (64 people) have already returned to Boyuk Galaderesi.

It was also noted that President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the reconstruction progress in the village and met with resettled residents.
