Azerbaijan resumes radio, television broadcasting station in Lachin

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has said that a radio and television broadcasting station located in the Lachin district was put into operation in Azerbaijan on September 9 as part of the reconstruction of the radio and television broadcasting network in the liberated lands.

The existing 20-metre tower and a technical building were used to temporarily resume the operation of the station, the ministry told Caliber.Az.

As a result, eight TV programs, namely, AzTV, Medeniyyet TV, Idman Azerbaycan TV, Ictimai TV, Azad Azerbaycan TV, Xezer TV, CBC, Real TV, Azerbaijan Radio, and Public radio are broadcast in the Lachin district, as well as in the villages in the direction of Lachin, Shusha and Gubadli districts.

It is planned to carry out appropriate work to improve the broadcasting of the station in the future.
The activity of the Shusha, Kalbajar, Minjivan (Zangilan), and Khanlyg (Gubadli) radio and television broadcasting stations has been temporarily resumed in the previously liberated territories.

Currently, 10 television and seven radio programmes are broadcast from the Shusha radio and television station, and eight television and two radio programmes are broadcast from Kalbajar, Minjivan, Khanlyg, and Lachin radio and television broadcasting stations.

Radio and TV channels are currently broadcast in Shusha, Khankendi, Khojaly, Lachin, Kalbajar, Khojavend, Gubadli, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Aghdam, and other nearby districts through these stations.
