Azerbaijan’s Aghdam to host conference on state-religious relations
A regional conference on “Legal and Institutional Mechanisms in State-Religious Relations” will take place in the city of Aghdam on April 15.
The Azerbaijani State Committee on Work with Religious Organisations said the event will bring together the leadership of the state committee and the Aghdam district executive authorities, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Members of the Milli Majlis (parliament), law enforcement officials, public figures, theologians, religious leaders, and heads of religious communities will also attend the talks.
The conference aims to discuss ways to improve legislation, strengthen legal and institutional mechanisms, and implement preventive measures.
Panels will cover topics such as “Priorities of State Religious Policy in a Changing World” and “Religious Radicalism as a Threat to Socio-Political Stability.”
