Azerbaijan’s industrial production marginally declines
From January through September this year, industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field manufactured products worth 64.1 billion manats ($37.7 billion), down 0.6 per cent from the previous year.
During the reporting period, production in the oil sector fell by 1.9 per cent, and the non-oil and gas sector increased by 7.2 per cent, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Some 75.8 per cent of industrial products were in the mining sector, 20.4 per cent in the processing sector, 3.2 per cent in the production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and steam, and 0.6 per cent in the water supply, water treatment, and waste processing sector.
Commercial oil production in the mining sector decreased by 5.4 per cent, while marketable gas production rose by 9.8 per cent.
The production, distribution, and supply of electricity, gas, and the steam sector grew by 3.8 per cent, and the water supply, water treatment, and waste processing sector ascended by 5.5 per cent.
