Azerbaijani, Italian news agencies expand cooperation
The Azerbaijan State News Agency (Azertag) and Italy's Adnkronos News Agency signed a new cooperation and news exchange agreement on July 14 during a meeting between AZERTAC Chairman of the Board Vugar Aliyev and Adnkronos Chief Executive Officer Angela Antonini on the sidelines of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum.
The agreement is intended to broaden cooperation in news exchange, deepen professional relations between the two agencies and encourage the implementation of joint media initiatives, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.
Under the arrangement, the agencies will exchange news, photographs and video materials free of charge in English, Arabic and other mutually agreed languages through their existing technological platforms.
The deal also envisages cooperation and the sharing of expertise in emerging media technologies, including artificial intelligence.
The sides additionally agreed to organise joint media activities such as photo exhibitions, video reports, online webinars and other projects aimed at advancing the media sector.
The agreement also calls for mutual support in the coverage of events taking place in Azerbaijan and Italy.
