Azerbaijan’s SOCAR gasifies 150 new houses in Lachin PHOTO
Reconstruction works continue in the Lachin district of Azerbaijan, as well as in other districts of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur.
Within the works, Lachin town is supplied with natural gas from SOCAR's Azerigaz Production Union, APA reports.
In the initial stage, 150 out of 600 houses were supplied with natural gas by installing gas meters.
Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Lachin district Masim Mammadov, Deputy General Director for Sales of Azerigaz SOCAR Rashad Javadov and residents of the town took part in the event.
Speakers at the ceremony congratulated Lachin residents on this historic day and noted that the gasification of the territories liberated from occupation is successfully continuing.
Then a symbolic torch was lit to mark the beginning of the natural gas supply.
In addition to the gasification of Lachin town, works are also continuing at a rapid pace in Zabukh village of the district. Initially, 200 houses will be gasified here. In Zabukh village, as in Lachin town, a meeting with the residents was held and a torch was lit to mark the start of natural gas supply.
