British traveler acknowledges importance of Karabakh University for local youth
Harry Mitsidis, the founder of the international travel club NomadMania, has emphasized the importance of education in the course of his visit to the Karabakh University in Khankandi.
British traveler Mitsidis shared that this was his third visit to Karabakh, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Mitsidis admitted that he only discovered the existence of the university during this trip, which marks his first visit to Khankandi, and expressed his pleasure at having had the opportunity to visit it. "As a teacher myself, I always enjoy interacting with students. I see that they are full of enthusiasm and are genuinely happy to be the first students of this new educational institution. It is truly wonderful that Azerbaijan places great importance on education and invests in it," he noted.
An international group of travellers from 30 countries have embarked on a trip to Azerbaijan's Karabakh region on April 24. The team is led the world-renowned traveler and founder of the NomadMania club, Harry Mitsidis. In the course of the three-day trip to Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, club members will be provided with information on the large-scale restoration and reconstruction efforts taking place in the liberated territories, demining, and will be able to witness with their own eyes the atrocities and destruction committed by Armenia during the years of their illegal occupation of these lands.
This trip plays a key role in promoting the liberated territories within the framework of "dark tourism."
