Azerbaijan to clear over 200,000 hectares of mines during next five years
Executive Director of the Azerbaijani Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vusal Gasimli has said that about 280,000 hectares in the liberated Azerbaijani territories will be cleared of mines during the next five years.
Gasimli made the remarks at the conference entitled "Great Return: Triumph of Ilham Aliyev's Policy", organised by the New Azerbaijan Party in partnership with the Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Report informs.
He noted that important work is planned to be carried out as part of the programme.
“Before the adoption of the Great Return programme, we had already cleared 57,000 hectares in the liberated territories of mines. This figure will increase even more in the coming years,” the executive director added.
