Azerbaijan to complete construction of Aghdam-Fuzuli highway in 2024 Statement by presidential deputy special rep
The Aghdam-Fuzuli highway is expected to be built in 2024, while the construction of the Barda-Aghdam road is under completion, Deputy Special Representative of the Azerbaijani President in the liberated territories of the Karabakh Economic Region (except for Shusha District) Bashir Hajiyev has said.
Hajiyev made these remarks at the panel discussion “Great Return: New Economic Realities and Changing Labour Market Requirements” in Baku, Report informs.
“The power company Azerenergy has already commissioned two substations in this territory. Five residential areas and 12 villages will be created and populated in Aghdam per the First State Programme of the Great Return by late 2026. Historical and cultural monuments are also being restored in Aghdam, a central park and forest parks are being designed, and construction work will begin soon,” he said.
Hajiyev reminded that Aghdam was previously known as an industrial city.
“There is an industrial park in Aghdam. Residents began building plants and factories. Some of them will open next year,” he added.
The panel discussion entitled “Great Return: New Economic Realities and Changing Labour Market Requirements” was organised within the conference “Development of Vocational Education in Azerbaijan for a Strong Economy: Vision for the Future”.
