Azerbaijan to host diaspora youth camp in Khankendi this August
A summer camp for members of the Azerbaijani diaspora will take place in the city of Khankendi this August, as part of events marking the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" in Azerbaijan.
The initiative is being jointly organised by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Caliber.Az reports.
The camp, which will run from August 3 to 9, 2025, will bring together over 100 young Azerbaijanis from around the world, as well as participants from nations friendly to Azerbaijan.
Held under the official motto "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty", the camp aims to deepen the connection between young diaspora members and their cultural roots. Participants will explore historical and cultural landmarks in Khankendi and across the wider Karabakh region. They will also have the opportunity to meet families of fallen soldiers and war veterans.
Young people aged 18 to 29 who speak Azerbaijani are eligible to apply, with all participation costs fully covered by the organisers.
