Azerbaijan to rebuild 75 houses in Khojavand's Sos village in 2025 PHOTO
Life is returning to Sos village in Azerbaijan’s Khojavand district, which came under Azerbaijani control in 2023 following a successful local anti-terrorist operation conducted by the Armed Forces, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Leyla Sarabi, press secretary of the Reconstruction, Construction and Management Service for the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, said that electricity and gas supply lines, sub-artesian wells, and two transformers have been restored in the village.
Work on installing meters has begun, three water reservoirs have been repaired, and a 5-kilometer gas pipeline has been laid, she added.
Of the 259 private houses in Sos, 70 are uninhabitable, and 189 are partially fit for living. Currently, 10 houses are ready for use, and by the end of 2025, an additional 75 houses will be restored. Plans for 2026 include the reconstruction of 104 more homes.
To date, 10 families, totaling 46 people, have returned to the village.
